Conflicting Seasons

So, I'm pretty sure this outfit subconsciously conveyed both the current weather and my feelings about said weather. Lately, it's been alternating between super summery hot weather and lovely fall weather. Here, I'm wearing my most summery dress with a WHOLE LOT of the very fall color, brown. I didn't mean for this to happen or anything, and it was only after I left the house that I realized what I had done. Regardless, I like how everything came together. I do not, however, like this fluctuating weather. Make up your mind (to be fall), weather!

I feel like I'm on one of those roller coaster's that takes you from 0 to 200 miles per hour in five seconds (I don't even think that's possible..or safe?). Just last week I was being pleasantly lazy, and now I'm practically swimming in ancient greek literature and thousands of poems. It's a nice sea, I can't complain of its contents, but seriously. It's nice to be busy though. Maybe. I'm still trying to adjust to everything. I have a feeling my poetry class is going to be the hardest. I mean, the teacher's nice and everyone seems nice and all, but sharing my poetry, which I'm not sure is all that good but we won't get into that, will never be something I feel all that comfortable with. But, I guess if I want to get better, I have no choice!

Well, I should do some more reading (or watch food network..?), so I shall end this post!

Until tomorrow,
Nicole :)

  1. I love how you mixed the prints. It works really well. Reading your poems aloud, that's scary :)

  2. Oh the weather has been the exact same thing in my country. The other day it was rainy and I wore tights and today was super hot and sunny. I just hate it when the weather is like this.
Your outfit is really cute though.

  3. Love the mixed seasonal messages in this outfit! Perfect for September. I'm nervous about being thrown into the academic roller coaster myself in a few weeks but I hope to stay positive about it, too :)

  10. Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads
up. The text in your post seem to be running off the screen in Safari.
I'm not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I figured I'd post to let you know.
The design and style look great though! Hope you get the problem resolved soon.
    Cheers
