Let Me See Those Eyes

Hello there! I'm currently stationed in the library, finishing up some of the last work I have to do before spring break next week. It's funny. Campus always feels so strange just before a long break. I guess this is helped by the gray, rainy day, but campus just feels so calm and quiet and empty. It's kind of wonderful and eerie all at once.

Anyway, yesterday felt like a jean day, so jeans I wore. I'm always pretty stumped on how to style jeans. So many girls can wear them in such cool, classy ways, but I often feel a bit shlumpy in them. I liked how this look came together (but I did mildly adjust it before leaving the house, shhhhh), it just felt a little boring. So, I quickly attempted to "spice it up" with a pair of my mom's old frames, which left me feeling just spicy enough. Also, I'm wearing a top as a dress because I am having a SHIRT CRISIS. I have so few wearable tops in my wardrobe. I feel like I always wear the same four or five over and over. I guess it's hard for me, for some reason, to justify an expensive top. I'm much more likely to spend my money on a dress or skirt, which leaves me topless. Well...that's not quite what I meant. But you get the idea, right? I'm hoping to do some thrifting this weekend to find some. But where do you guys mostly buy your tops? I could use some advice!

Top (dress): some boutique in San Francisco
Sweater: Zara
Jeans: Levi's
Shoes: Urban Outfitters
Glasses: Mom's

Until Tomorrow,
Nicole

  1. That top is great! I have very few tops as well. I have some tank tops and some t-shirts, but not many blouses that are unique looking. That's on my list of things to fix :D Haha

I really like how you styled the jeans here! I always forget that I can role them. I'll have to do that soon. Also you look ADORABLE in your moms glasses!

  2. I'm in love with that top/dress. I've been the same with tops lately. I have a whole closet full of them but only a couple of those are wearable...

  6. I buy most of my shirts at the thrift store. Also, it's always smart to have some cheap basic colored shirts. Like a black, gray, navy, and white one. You can dress them up or down. Forever 21, H&M, and superstores are good places to find those.

  7. I love the way girls can wear flared or baggy jeans, but they just don't suit me. I love Topshop and H&M for tops, but I don't know if you have them there.
