There's a Light

DSC_0025

This weekend has been a bit slow, but relaxing, so I suppose I can't complain. Though, I did complain occasionally, about being bored. So, yesterday Zak and I made a trip out to Barnes and Noble just for kicks. I feel like whenever I'm bored I go to Barnes and Noble. I just like to browse the stacks and stacks of books and drink iced chai tea lattes. It's a nice way to get out and kill the boredom a bit. Also, after seeing Bethany's post where she took long-exposure photos, I knew I had to figure out how to try it for myself. So, one night Zak and I got our flashlights and took some. Though most of them turned out terribly (it's not easy to draw a light pony) I figured I'd post a few of the decent ones here.

  3. So cool! I love the long exposures. Glad you're enjoying your new camera. I really want to try some of those now :) My old youth minister used to do them around Christmas with sparklers and draw everyone's name out.

Also, the long exposure pictures are so cool. I have always wanted to try that, unfortunately I don´t own a DSLR (maybe someday). They just look like so much fun.

  9. Once I get myself a DSLR I'll try to take some long exposure shots too, especially to try to recreate the Harry Potter one hehe (Harry Potter ftw!).

  11. This is such a cute outfit. I love the neutral shades paired with the colorful floral.

The dark photos are so cool! I guess that function is what photographers use to capture the stars' movements in the sky?

  12. I can't stop staring at your long-exposure photos! (I'm especially digging the HP shout-out.) I'll just go ahead and add long-exposure shots to the neverending list of reasons I should buy a DSLR!

I don't think I've commented on your new hair color yet, but I absolutely love it! It complements your skin so beautifully, and I'm really glad that you ended up getting the look you wanted!

Annnd I won't even lie; I kind of want to steal your top and your hat. Perfect print, perfect boater. No big deal. ;)

  15. I absolutely love long exposure photos! One time my friends pretty much forced me to take their picture and I worked without a tripod - now that's a challenge keeping the camera still for a minute! That flower turned out near perfect. :)
