What A Day for a Daydream

IMG_6439edit

So, I'm kind of cheating by posting this outfit, since I really wore it on Saturday. I just didn't wear anything special today and, hence, did not take outfit photos, so I thought now would be a good time to post these. I really love this dress, and I realized over the weekend that I've only worn it once since I got it. It's just that it's a form fitting dress that shows off my curves. It makes me feel confident and insecure all at once, so I generally stay away from it even though I love the pattern and cut. I really wanted to look and feel cute, though, so I punched my insecurities in the face and just went with it. I'm hoping I won't be too scared to wear it without tights once the weather warms up since it's got an open back that's perfect for spring and summer!

Dress: Modcloth
Sweater: Pacsun?
Tights: Hue
Shoes: Urban Outfitters
Belt: Delia's

  1. haha I'm going to cheat SO HARD the next few posts because I've been away and I have tons of outfit posts I never put up. Who cares when you wore it... as long as it's not from like 2007 or something haha. I love that dress! The colors and print are so unique and funky! Love the turquoise cardigan with it and your little hair clip is adorable!!

  3. Love the print on this dress! Such a flattering piece on you. I love how you played off the turquoise in it. It makes it seem more springy even though it's mostly black. Ugh. Rain go away! Is that a flower clip or actual flower?

  11. BEST DRESS EVER!! Oh my gosh, you look gorgeous in it. I'm such a sucker for unique prints.

Your weather (in the pictures) looks very much like what's going on outside my window. Rain certainly doesn't lend itself to outfit pictures.

  14. Hello Nicole, how are you? I am a young Brazilian and I love her
blogger. Perhaps influenced by my cousin who graduated in
and works as a fashion stylist. And what are these styles of middle-
pants do you wear? Showwwwwwww .. The colors of them are fantastic.
Congratulations! Sorry for my English, I'm still learning. A big kiss!

  17. Who doesn't cheat on outfit posts? :) I hold nothing against you for it.

I'm glad you showed your insecurities who was boss, because that dress really is super flattering on you! Especially with how you styled it. And I can't NOT love something in an ethnic print!

  24. I LOVE THIS DRESS. I love geometric aztec/ethnic inspired patterns right now. Makes me think about how I don't really have any dresses that are this fitted. In the past few years, I think I've gotten rid of them all. Makes me wish I hadn't. Love how you echoed that teal color of the dress with the cardigan :) so pretty.

  25. You look lovely! I'd probably have the same feelings about a form fitting dress, but I think you look great. And the pattern and colours are amazing. Plus, I'm continually in awe of your ability to have a cardigan to go with literally everything. xx
