Hello there! First, I just want to thank you guys for all of your sweet responses to my video! You guys are too kind. Hopefully there will be more videos in this blogs future! Today, I was supposed to meet up with a friend, but that fell through, so I decided to do a bit of thrifting instead. I went to Goodwill yesterday but found absolutely nothing, but I managed to find a few gems at the Salvation Army today - a chambray skirt, cropped short sleeve sweater, and this straw hat. I've been looking for a straw boater hat for such a long time, but they're hard to come by, and I really don't want to spend $30 on one at Urban Outfitters. So, while this hat is a bit beat up, even ripped in a spot, it was only a dollar and more than serves its purpose. Plus, it's got a cute floral ribbon attached to it! Unfortunately when I went out to take these photos the wind decided to pick up, so a lot of the photos turned out with me holding on to my hat for dear life (see below), but I managed to salvage a few :)
Blouse, Pants: H&M
Shoes: Urban Outfitters
Straw Hat: Salvation Army
Until tomorrow,
Nicole
The hat looks great on you! I don't have a hat head. I can only rock the newsboy cap.

that hat is so cute and i love your little eyelet blouse as well! such a great summery look :)
ReplyDeleteI've been striking out at goodwill lately too and scoring at the salvation army, what's up with that?!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a pretty little summer get-up!
ReplyDeleteI'm still very hesitant about buying hats second hand. I think it goes back to the time when I was a kid and there was constantly lice outbreaks at my elementary school. After that my mom didn't like me sharing hats and trying them on T the store. I'm just a paranoid person! haha
But I have started to brave buying second hand shoes, so maybe hats will be next!
Oh, and thrifting?! Anytime you're in WI, let me know! I know all the best spots for a deal!
You are too cute! I just stumbled onto your blog. So glad I did! have a wonderful weekend! <3
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute outfit; I love your straw hat, I have one myself but haven´t been using it because of all the wind we have been having.
ReplyDeleteAnd you look so cute.
Of all the luck! I've been searching high and low for such a hat (after walking out of UO in irritation--twice). I also love your blouse. Aaand, I have those shoes in red. Aren't they murder? ; )

I know they had some cheap hats like that at Target a while ago, but you really can't beat a $1 price tag. :D
ReplyDeleteI love the lace detail at the bottom of your blouse, it's so pretty!
Oh I love your sandals! I must go find them in the store! I also am in love with your trousers! I've been looking for a pair like that for work. Ah. My shopping ban will not stick hehe. That straw hat is lovely on you Nicole <3
ReplyDeletelove your outfit! i adore the cutouts on your shirt, the color of the trousers and your shoes! i've been eyeing them since it was cold outside but i just don't have the cash to spend on them : ( ah well.
ReplyDeleteYes! This is just a dreamy summer outfit lady! I have such a thing for hats, and your straw one is quite a gem. The big bow adds a pop of color and something special to your outfit. Good to hear about your scores at Salvation Army! Super jealous of your thrifting finds :-) xx
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your shoes!
ReplyDeleteIf you follow me and comment saying you did and I'll follow you back! xoxo

Aw I adore every thing about this look of yours, the blouse, hat, shoes... So pretty.
ReplyDeleteI saw your video on my reader and loved it although I didn0t comment, you're so funny and pretty!
I love your shoes! It's so hard to find the perfect boater hat because people don't really wear them a lot, unlike fedoras, which are more popular. UO is so overpriced, it's ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteLet me look at my schedule and I'll let you know the possible dates :)
