Baby, It's Cold Outside

dec 8 1

If I had taken pictures yesterday and used this same post title, it would have been in a sarcastic way, considering the balmy December weather we've been having here. But today, it was legitimately cold, hence the wintery coat. As much as I don't love being cold, it's kind of nice to finally have a chilly December. Sixty degree temperatures in the same month a Christmas is just upsetting.

So, since I've had the song Baby, It's Cold Outside stuck in my head all day, I'll take this opportunity to ask a very important question: What's your favorite Christmas song? I absolutely love Christmas music, and the Christmas season in general. If I had to choose, I think I'd say my favorite is Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas by Frank Sinatra. I also love White Christmas by the Drifters (from the Home Alone Soundtrack), and every other Christmas song ever. I've also been listening to Winter Wooskie by Belle and Sebastian a ton lately, but that's more of a winter song than a Christmas song.

Coat: Urban Outfitters, Sweater, blouse: Forever 21, Skirt: Goodwill, Tights: Asos, Shoes: A Wild Tonic Vintage

  1. I love any classic Christmas songs! Sufjan Steven's Christmas CD is my favorite, though. I listen to all the discs in rotation in my car during the holiday. Love the peak of lace in this outfit.

  5. This. Weather! I've got friends up in Minn. who are hit with lots of snow, and I'm just chillin' (ha!) in Wisconsin with this awesome sunshine. What is up with that?! I think this year could possibly go on record as being a non-white Christmas.

This is another great outfit from you! I like the darker colors you choose and every time you wear that little fox makes for an awesome outfit!

My top 3 Christmas music choices are Christmas Wrapping (by the Waitresses), Run Run Rudolph (Chuck Berry), and the number one hit that's sure to be stuck in my head - Mariah Carey's version of All I Want for Christmas is You.

  6. I love Baby, It's Cold Outside too, I can't stop singing it and listening to it ;) but I think my favourite Christmas song is by Jethro Tull: Another Christmas Song.

  9. I'm seriously in love with your skirt! It looks great with the little lace peaking out under your sweater. My favorite Christmas song has been 'White Christmas' for a long time but 'All I want for Christmas is You' is sneaking up on it quickly for most played this year.
We play a game at our holiday parties where (usually when someone arrives to the party) we all start singing a random different Christmas song. It's the most chaotic fun party game.

  10. Ahh, that fox pin. I love it so much. And I think I'm going to have to buy a lace shirt to layer under things, it's such a pretty touch to this outfit. I have been looking at your blog so much lately and I've just been so inspired by all of your outfits, so thank you for that! <3

I would answer your Christmas question, but I'm a little Christmas music-ed out today. I feel like I hear about a million versions of every Christmas song when I'm working, and it kind of drives me crazy! Haha.
