I'm very nearly done with the semester, which means I'm rapidly entering full on Christmas mode. In fact, I just stepped away from a bowl of left over sugar cookie dough to write this post. I really should have brought it with me. Oh well. I'm baking up a batch of cookies for my last poetry class tomorrow, so hopefully they turn out alright! Even if they don't, I doubt anyone would care much. It's finals week and everyone's pretty delusional/mal-nourished to begin with. Speaking of my poetry class, as a lot of you know, I write poetry and it's something I take quite seriously, something I'd really like to be good at. Today, in my last meeting with my poetry teacher for the semester, my teacher had a lot of kind things to say about my work, how far I'd come, and how much she's enjoyed having me in her class and reading her work. The reason I bring this up is because I've had a bit of a rough semester, as a lot of you also know, and getting positive feedback and reassurance that I'm doing good work in an area that matters so much to me is really, really nice.
Holiday Question of the Day: Would you like to do a Christmas card swap? I love writing out Christmas cards, and if any of you would like to swap cards just let me know and I'll email you about it :)
Until tomorrow,
Nicole

ReplyDeleteI am really loving all the winter outfits you have been coming up with lately lady!!....always so thoughtfully layered with just the perfect pop of color to beat away the winter blues. That's pretty darn awesome that your prof is giving you such positive feedback, and based off what you've posted on here I'd say you definitely have a great knack for it:) Best wishes Nicole as you finalize your semester!!
