Hello there! So, as a Mother's Day gift to my wonderful mama, my sister and I decided that we would cook the Mother's Day meal this year. Unlike my sister, I actually love to cook, but being on a diet doesn't give me to many opportunities to bake and cook delicious things. So, when I get the chance to cook for other people, I take it! So, my sister and I made a few appetizers (including yummy zuchini and potato pancakes), mozzarella stuffed chicken, and penne a la vodka. And don't even talk to me about dessert. My mother's absolute favorite dessert is peanut butter pie, so I told my sister to pick one up from some bakery in Manhattan. And in addition to this, which was amazingly delicious, there were cookies and cream puffs and cheesecake. Oof, I ate too much. But it was worth it. Maybe. How was your Mother's Day?
This outfit made me feel a bit more mature than I actually am, but for some reason mother's day made me feel like dressing proper and sophisticated. I picked up this skirt from Goodwill yesterday, actually. It's a little big in the waist, but I thought the pattern was cute and I'm looking for some non a-line skirts to add to my wardrobe.
Top: H&M
Skirt: Ann Taylor via Goodwill
Shoes: Steve Madden
Belt that you can't see: Delia's

I love you mom. Thanks for being the best!
Until tomorrow,
Nicole
