So, first off, I want to give a big ol' heaping THANK YOU to all of your amazing, sweet, supportive comments on my last post! I'm really excited about Faces and Faces, and knowing that I have your support and encouragement makes me even more excited to see where this little hope goes. Anyway, yesterday I met up with one of my good friends Stephanie, and we, of course, headed straight for the sweets. There's this adorable little bakery in my neighborhood called Sweet Sophia's that serves cakes as delicious as their shop is cute (very, very, very, incase you were wondering). We each ordered iced coffee and a HUMONGOUS slice of cake. Seriously, it was huge. You guys know I love cake, but neither of us could finish our pieces, which is saying something. After that, we spent the afternoon in the park hanging out, catching up, and making a list of summer adventures we hope to complete. A wonderful day if I ever saw one.

You're so lucky to have a bakery nearby! We don't really have one. Well, there is one, but it's not that cute and isn't strictly a bakery. That ginormous cake looks like a fun challenge to try and complete, muwaha ;) the icing is so thick...! <3
ReplyDeleteThis dress is precious on you, probably one of my favorites of yours. :D
Sweet food, sweet thoughts, sweet dress, and sweet girl! Love love love :) That cake sounds like a challange to me! I wanna eat there one day...WITH YOU!! Easy days at the park are one of the best things in life!
ReplyDelete1. I'm probably working on an Etsy shop too! (:
ReplyDelete2. I need to eat all of that baked goodness. NOW.
3. You're still totally adorable. And we seriously need to get on the "talking over Skype" thing soon now that I don't have a job or school as an excuse.
i'm kind of in love with this dress. kind of hardcore. i want to eat cake with you!
ReplyDeleteYou look great! That dress is perfection. Kurt is pretty adorable too!
ReplyDeleteGoodness Nicole - your new shop is such a clever idea! I love the Whitman inspiration for the name and every last brooch you've created:) Gorgeous here as always. That cake looks divine. In regards to your comment - I will send you the link the those recipes as soon as I write them down and post. I have the worst habit of not measuring anything and just relying on how it tastes along the way...hehe. Now I need to remember to keep record! xx Marisa
ReplyDeleteAw dear you look adorable! I love this chambray dress, looks like the perfect summer dress, and congratulations on your new etsy shop!! I'm going to check it out immediately.
ReplyDeleteAnd that cake, oh my, looks like paradise.
Life is a romantic poem
So glad I stumbled upon this post. Just got a dress like this and you reminded me of a lovely brooch I have that'll add the finishing touch to the shoes, purse, and hair style I've already planned to pair the dress with.
ReplyDeleteThis is why I read style blogs. Great inspiration always.
