An Honest Heart

3 26 1

These photos are misleading, meaning that while I was trekking over to my grandma's backyard for outfit photos, I passed people bundled in winter coats giving me pitying looks as I scurried along in open shoes. It's alright though, because I like this outfit. And now that I've gotten a taste of delicious spring weather, there's no going back. I think it's supposed to be in the thirties tonight, but I don't care, because I am mentally in spring world and refuse to be fully clothed again until September. Smart decisions!

I was feeling a bit crafty today and decided to try my hand at making a nest necklace, based on a tutorial I found on pinterest. I'm pleased with how it turned out, though it certainly doesn't look as good as the one in the tutorial, which frankly was to be expected. I like it though! Maybe I'll make another and do a giveaway on the blog if you guys are interested?

  1. aw no that necklace is the cutest thing ever! i'm eager to be more crafty. you seem to be doing more lately! you should be in charge of reminding/encouraging me. ;) hehe

gold is such a pretty color on you, i must say. and i haven't started wearing true spring clothes yet (aka getting rid of the tights) because it's been rainy and coldish here!!

  2. Your necklace looks perfect! I don't know why you're saying it's not as good as the one in the tutorial because it matches it to a T! I especially like how you used three different colored beads, so lovely! That's a neat little craft you found. I'd totally be up for entering a giveaway with some robin's egg blue bead eggs. ;)

Also, you look surprisingly warm for everyone else being bundled up in their winter coats! I would have never guessed it was cool. Those sandals are perfect and I really like the color and shape of the heel-ish part of them? I don't know how to describe my feels for what I'm trying to say but yeah they are nice :D

  3. I already saw this on Tumblr but I had to come here too, because this outfit is just DARLING. I have been wearing my own jean jacket nonstop since the spring weather started (and I agree, this not-spring-anymore weather is a personal affront) and pink & yellow is one of my favorite color combinations. LOVE THIS!

I totally know what you mean about staying in Spring in my mind. It's has gotten pretty gloomy around here but I'm still prancing around bare-legged :) I love this outfit! It's so subtly primary-colored! I love the necklace!

  6. You look so cute, and I can understand you when you say that you're totally ready for spring and there's no turning back. Here it's still a little cold, so I still have to wear tights and shoes (instead of amazing sandals like yours), but I hope it'll be hotter soon.
Oh and I love your sunglasses, and your necklace turned out lovely <3
