Across the Uniskirt

DSC_0155

I like puns. I also like galaxy print. I don't however, enjoy thinking of the scale of the universe. While I acknowledge that it's awesome and cool that there's a whole gigantic universe outside of our world that we know basically nothing about, I also find it incredibly terrifying, and humbling in a way that makes me feel insignificant at times. Seriously, if I start thinking about the immensity of the universe, and asteroids hitting the earth, and black holes I start feeling a little bit nauseous. Even so, I still think it's beautiful and amazing - so much so that I wanted to wear this galaxy skirt. I wasn't a huge fan of these photos - I'm having a hair/"I look like an ugly boy" crisis, but I did like the outfit. And kind of wanted to ramble about galaxies for a little bit.

  1. Thinking too much about the infinite universe is very stressful. I agree.

  3. kasdhjkasfsdf you adorable thing you! I half commented on this on tumblr, but I feel a need to comment again because you are faaaaaah-bulous. I want to make a pretty nebula skirt like you.

I'm kind of scared of how big the universe is, too. LIKE WHAT IF there is a giant black hole that would suck up the earth. And we can't do shit about it. Like. C'mon. That's scary. And aliens who have better technology than us and want to destroy us. I'm seeerious! D: I feel ya. But at the same time it's really cool thinking that it just goes on forever.. unless there's some kind of black hole donut thing going on that transports you from one side to the next. Like time travel. YEAH.
Man, now the next post I make I'm going to have to rant about the universe. Is that cool? I hope so.

  6. I love the skirt and the sweater. I never would have thought of pairing them together. You look great, and not like a boy at all, even though I don't even think that is necessarily a bad thing. Hope you had a great weekend!
