It seems like you've pretty much talked yourself through this and figured it out, which is kind of a radical thing to be able to do (props, gurl). Though I must admit, I, too, tend to give gifts (especially around Christmas) solely because I want people to remember that I care about them and I want to stay in their life, especially since during college, it can be so hard to keep up with people. It's quite the internal struggle, isn't it?<br /><br />I also approve that your talk occurred over delicious Mexican food. Yummy yummy. :) Your jumper really is cute and I love that plaid. You are a giver, but there is nothing wrong with that. Being a constant people-pleaser can really take its toll eventually, and by making a decision to take care of yourself, even if it interferes with someone else, is okay.
